Making The Case for Those Left Behind -
Or, Plea to Continue Flash Fics

Sometimes after a vote to continue on with a story for a series, I've had some readers make the comment of "I would really like to see more of ______, is there any chance you would consider continuing it?"

And the answer to that is...I would consider continuing on with some of the recent one part flash fics, but (you knew there was a but in there, didn't you?) you have to speak up. How do I know which ones people really want to see if nobody says anything?

So, this is where you, dear readers, come in. Which of my one part flash fics - Found HERE and HERE and HERE - would you like to see continued?

A few caveats (now I sound the Genie in Aladin): Some stories have already been made into full length stories or continued on (Freedom, Homeless, and other Flash Fics, but they have been moved to their story pages which you can find on the Flash Fic main page). Don't waste your time there. Anything else, is fair game to try to persuade me to continue on with.

So now you're asking yourself, "Self, how exactly do I persuade Lea to continue on with the flash fic I really wanted to see?" Fear not, intrepid reader (who has managed to make it thus far in this crazy little ramble), I have just the answer. And you won't have to rely on ESP to read my mind.

Send me an e-mail. In your e-mail, please list the flash fic you would like to see continued, why you would like to see it continued, feel free to be as specific as you wish - including any ideas where you thought the story could go. That's not to say I'll use your ideas, but it just might spark something in me, and if it does, I'll give you due credit. Specifics count here, dear reader, because just a "please continue this story" doesn't really cut it. Why is it so important to you? If you're wanting some effort on my part, you need to make a little of your own. Put some thought into it.

You can even make the case for more than one story if you want. But let's be realistic and not make the case for every story, because that's just not possible.

Then, after you've sent your e-mail for which story you'd like to see continued, send me another e-mail. This time with prompts for me to use. Because here's where the fun comes in. Any stories I choose to continue on with will be exclusive to this site. And so I will not be utilizing any prompts that are put up at elsewhere. But I can't write a flash fic without prompts, so I need your ideas.

One more little caveat: As you've probably noticed from my body of work, I don't write explicit stories. I prefer a fade to black essence and suggested intimacy rather than anotomy. Explicit prompts will probably be discarded, and they certainly won't inspire smut. Just saying ;-).

If you have any questions that I haven't answered, or addressed above...ASK ME.

Thank you for your interest, and support of my fanfic.
Lea
